Read MoreSnow-covered mountains stand up against the horizon of the Lake Constance. It is one of those beautiful late summer days in Southern Germany right at the border to Austria. Looking across the Lake Constance we see the Alpine mountains fading in the haze. Standing at the bottom of the 35 meter lighthouse makes me think about the importance of such and impressive monument. It reliably guided sailors for over 150 years into the safe harbor of the small island. The lake is often covered with shallow fog making this iconic landmark of the city of Lindau not only a beautiful but also important facility. Climbing up the many stairs to the small platform will be rewarded by the stunning view over the Alpine mountains. All the small boats peacefully sailing on the lake silently moving below me. It ́s an impressive moment, full of desire, hope and awe of the breathtaking scenery.
